The Mulberry Street Branch of the New York Public Library invites you to reading and discussion about the old Fulton Fish Market prior to the development known as South Street Seaport with:
Barbara Mensch, photographer and author of South Street
In the early 80s, Barbara Mensch moved to a loft in the South Street area, started talking to her neighbors, and took photos of doomed buildings. The result is South Street, published last year to critical acclaim.

JTNY presents the Last Jew in Europe
The Jewish Theater of New York is presenting Last Jew in Europe about anti-Semitism
The show, written by Tuvia Tenenbom, won excellent notices by major critics on the continent. JTNY will to re-open Last Jew in Europe coming October 14.
Please note that The Jewish Theater of New York is a not-for-profit theater (501(c)3) and your contributions to it are tax-deductible.
Last Jew in Europe offers a very rewarding theatrical experience. Well written and well directed, it confronts the audience, through a series of fast paced situations and dialogues, with uncomfortable questions concerning prejudice, shame, identity, and cultural stereotypes. It makes people think about their own encounters with Judaism and anti-Semitism, with historical past and family traditions. I recommend it very highly.
— Professor Jan T. Gross, Princeton University.
